Gallery at 46 Green Street  is pleased to present “FLAT BROKE,” a selection of the work of Stacy Petty.  Although Stacy has been shown extensively, this is the first time his work has been presented in Hudson, which he recently made his home.  FLAT BROKE organizes Stacy’s work in a way that shows his evolution as an artist from his early monochromatic representational pieces to his more recent non-representational work, “gesture sculptures.”  As his work shifts over time, he has slowly replaced the former concrete imagery with colorful suggestions – flat and broken down as it were yet, at the same time, deeply expressive of the artist’s innermost feelings and emotions. We are very pleased to introduce him and his work to Hudson.
